StackShare API Terms of Service

StackShare API users are bound by the StackShare Terms of Service , plus the following API-specific terms.

These terms may change at any time. The last update occurred on March 29, 2016 when these API terms were first published. StackShare reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, your access to the API (or any part thereof) with or without notice.

Please note, the StackShare API is in Beta and will change without notice so don't build anything important on it just yet.

Don't use the API for commercial purposes without our permission

Currently, the StackShare API is free and publicly accessible for non-commercial use. However, it is forbidden to use it commercially without our explicit approval. Commercial use includes (but is not limited to):

Don't build a competing product on the API

Please don't use our data to build your own competing tools/stacks platform.

Don't solicit StackShare users

It is strictly forbidden to use the StackShare API to source new sales leads, solicit users with job offers, etc. Any vendors or users identified to be actively engaging in the solicitation of StackShare users for commercial purposes will be banned from accessing the API and from having a presence on the StackShare site.

Don't pretend the data is yours

Don't sublicense the data to other people. Don't crawl the API to scrape a complete copy of the data.

Attribute StackShare where the API has been used

Please link to StackShare (with a dofollow link) wherever API data is used or displayed. Feel free to include our logo (assets available here ).
